Program Description

This program is intended fro the classroom teacher who is interested in increasing their job responsibilities and assuming leadership roles within either their schools or districts. This degree is designed for those individuals who enjoy the classroom environment with students and are not interested in becoming a principal. Rather, these graduate candidates will strive for leadership roles in a variety of capacities such as department chairs, instructional coaches, curriculum coordinators, mentor teachers, and community liaisons. 

Unique Features

The program delivery model is largely of a problem-based structure and includes instruction in online, blended and face-to-face classroom-based experiences. The program includes opportunities for field-based experiences to be completed within a K-12 educational setting to allow candidates to apply learning theory to the school environment

Admissions Requirements

In addition to the criteria established for general admission to graduate studies, applicants must have the following:
