Here is a complete “To Do” list. Follow this list, check things off and make notes.

May 2017
- Apply for admission and scholarships. Apply online or request one from us by calling (573) 651-2590.
June-August 2017
- Summer is a great time to visit colleges. As your college search process moves into
high gear, we invite you to spend a day with us – make your reservation now
- Know your cumulative GPA and class rank. Compare your academic record to Southeast’s
academic scholarship criteria. Southeast academic scholarships are awarded automatically, providing you meet the
criteria.
- Review your senior schedule to make sure you will meet the academic core curriculum requirements for admission to Southeast.
- Register for the September 9 ACT by August 4
September 2017
- Apply for admission and scholarships. Apply online, pick up an application from your high school or community college counselor or request
one from us by calling (573) 651-2590.
- Take ACT on September 9
- Register for October 28 ACT by September 22
- Visit with a Southeast admissions counselor at your high school – view visit schedules
October 2017
- Attend Show Me Day on October 7 - register now
- Visit with Southeast at the National Association of College Admission Counseling (NACAC)
College Fair in St. Louis on October 22
- Take ACT on October 28
- Visit with a Southeast admissions counselor at your high school – view visit schedules
- The 2018-2019 FAFSA is now available online.
November 2017
- Attend Show Me Day on November 11 or November 13 – register now
- Register for December 9 ACT by November 3
- Visit with a Southeast admissions counselor at your high school – view visit schedules
December 2017
- Take ACT on December 9
(December ACT results can be used for scholarship consideration, but you must apply
for admission by December 1.)
- December 1 - Early Admission Consideration and Scholarship Deadline – Application for Admission and Residence Life Leadership Scholarship Application
must be received for scholarship consideration. All scholarships except the Governor’s,
Regents’ and President's will continue to be awarded through March 1.
- December 1 - Recommended Housing Contract Completion Date
Note: Housing contracts can be submitted through My Southeast, the student portal. To meet
this recommended contract completion date, we advise you to submit all admission materials
by November 1.
- You and a parent (if you are a dependent student) should create an FSA ID. The FSA ID identifies you as someone who has the right to access your Free Application for
Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) information online and allows a parent of a dependent
student to sign a child's FAFSA electronically.
January 2018
- Register for February 10 ACT by January 12
- January 15 is the recommended FAFSA completion date for students wishing to meet the
February 1 financial aid priority processing deadline for Southeast.
February 2018
- Take ACT on February 10 (February ACT results can be used for March 1 scholarship
consideration, but you must apply for admission by March 1.)
- February 1 – Southeast's Priority Financial Aid Deadline - Applying for financial
aid by February 1 will improve your chances of receiving federal (SEOG) and institutional
(Bridge to Success) grant funds, low-interest (Perkins) loans, Federal Work Study,
and financial aid from the State of Missouri.
- Attend Show Me Day on February 17 or February 19 - register now
- Register for First STEP (orientation).
- Visit with a Southeast admissions counselor at your high school – view visit schedules
March 2018
- March 1 – Endowed and Sponsored Scholarship deadline – Apply through My Southeast,
the student portal. View scholarships and application instructions
- March 1 – Final deadline for all scholarships
- Register for April 14 ACT by March 9
- Visit with a Southeast admissions counselor at your high school – view visit schedule
April 2018
- Attend Show Me Day on April 7 – register now
- Take ACT on April 14 (April ACT results are not used in scholarship consideration
for graduating seniors)
May 2018
- May 1 – Return academic scholarship award agreement and accept financial aid award
offers through My Southeast, the student portal.
- Register for June 9 ACT by May 4
June 2018
- Congratulations on your high school graduation!
- Send Southeast a final high school transcript. Your admission file is re-evaluated during
this time to confirm that you have completed the required core curriculum and maintained
a sufficient cumulative GPA.
- Take ACT on June 9 (June ACT results are not used in scholarship consideration for
graduating seniors, Last ACT to take for use towards Midwest Achievement Award Scholarship)
July 2018
- Housing and roommate assignments mailed and available through My Southeast, the student
portal

Welcome to Southeast!
- August 16 – Move-in Day for resident students
- August 17 – Convocation and Southeast 101 – for all new Southeast students
- August 20 – First day of the fall semester
